McGivney Baskteball Program

 

Bridgeport Caribe Youth League:  

McGivney partners with the BCYL to house a friendly, competitive basketball league for boys and girls in grades K-8. Games are played on Saturdays from October through December.  For more information go to www.bcyl.org

 

Travel Basketball:

The travel basketball program is a competitive program that promotes teamwork and player development.  Practice will be held weekly and players must be commited to participate in all scheduled events or the player can be excused from the team.  Playing time is based on practice/game attendance, work ethic during practice, cooperative attitude and game situations.  The decision is soley in the hands of the coaching staff. Teams will compete in the Fairfield County Basketball League (www.fcblhoops.org).

Teams will also play in some local tournaments and will be required to travel throughout the state.

Try-outs will take place in October

Grades: 5-8

Fee: TBD per player (if selected to the team)

 

Sr. Basketball League

Competitve in-house league that promotes good sportsmanship and equally playing time for males ages 18 and up. Games are played on Monday nights for 8 weeks starting in Februrary. More info to follow.
