What Volunteer Opportunities are avialable at McGivney?

 

Afterschool Homework Room Tutor

 

• ​Assit members with homework assignments with a one to one ratio.

• Utilize Learning Center activities to encourage academic enrichment.

• There are two 45 minute periods for homework time. Members are divided by grades.

 

Gym Volunteer

 

• Assist program staff with coordinating activities and games. 

• Set up activities.

• Get involved in the game.

 

Computer Volunteer

• Moniter members on-line.

• Encourage computer literacy, keyboarding and research.

 

Friday Clubs

 

• Fridays are 'no homework' days.

• Members sign up for 4-6 week clubs of their choice.

• Volunteers are welcome to submit proposals for club ideas.

 

Special Events

 

• Trhoughout the year we host many special events, holiday celebrations, and family programming.

• Volunteers may assist with set-up, clean-up, delivery of program.
